Chef Andrea Camastra honed his culinary craft in the finest restaurants in Italy, France, and the United Kingdom. A holder of a master’s degree from the University of Oxford, he has been a member of the “Oxford Encyclopedia of Personalities of the Republic of Poland” since 2015, recognizing his overall achievements in the culinary field. In 2015, he was named the “Chef of the Future” by the Gault & Millau Poland guide, and in 2017, he was awarded the title of “Chef of the Year.” In 2019, Andrea was included in the prestigious French magazine “Le Chef’s” list of the “100 Best Chefs in the World.” In 2020, the government of the Republic of Italy and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs included Andrea Camastra on the list of the most talented and successful Italian professionals on the international stage of the last century.

His Warsaw-based restaurant, Senses, has received the Michelin Star 5 times in a row since 2016. Since 2016, it has also been featured on the Diners Club 50 Best Discovery Series list compiled by the San Pellegrino World 50 Best Restaurant Academy, and the Gault & Millau guide has awarded it since 2015, with 4 caps and a score of 18.5 out of 20 in 2018, 2019, and 2020.

In June 2023, his new restaurant, NUTA, achieved its first Michelin Star just 13 months after its opening, causing a huge wave of excitement in the media and among guests in Warsaw!

Andrea has achieved mastery in the international culinary discourse. He is a proponent of the “note-by-note” cooking technique, which was pioneered by Prof. Hervé This, the author and inventor of molecular gastronomy, who recognized Andrea Camastra as the successor to the legendary Ferran Adrià from El Bulli. This technique represents an innovative, scientific approach to the art of cooking, utilizing pure compounds, extracts, and even individual molecules of flavors and aromas obtained from naturally occurring ingredients in nature.

During cooking, Andrea passionately listens to music. Being an artist playing musical instruments himself (having studied in a music school since the age of 8), he considers beautiful music, learning, and art as the primary sources of his creative culinary inspiration.
